Emma Whitmore is the artist behind Halo Bloom. Self-taught and based in the Midlands, she paints in acrylic layered with ink and pastel.

Her work is inspired by nature and the elements; the way the sky changes before rain, the stillness after a storm, the pull of the moon.

She’s drawn to capturing feelings more than scenes - something ethereal, mysterious, the kind of thing you feel before you can name it.

The name Halo Bloom is close to her heart. It carries a piece of her family in it and reflects what she hopes her paintings do too: hold on to something fleeting and let it linger a little longer.

Emma is currently working on new pieces for an upcoming collection and she couldn’t be more excited to share where the work is heading.
